  13. Here is a cdev/INIT combo to monitor up to four folders. It is based on
  14. the ideas of FolderCheck (I don't remember the author). You can use this
  15. "tool" to watch your drop folders on an AppleShare volume, as a work
  16. reminder, as a virus tool, .....
  17.  
  18. Summary:
  19. You can activate up to four folders (anywhere, local on your harddisk or
  20. on the network). You set the number of files, which reside in these
  21. folders. Then as soon as there are new items dropped inside the
  22. activated folders, you'll get a notification.

  24. DropCheck requires at least System 6.0.5 and is System 7.0 compatible.
  25. I've tested DropCheck on the following machines: Mac IIsi, Mac II, Mac
  26. IIx, Mac IIcx, Mac IIfx. DropCheck doesn't work on a Mac Plus (crash!).

  28. At the moment there is no help function implemented and there is no
  29. documentation available (I work on it!). But I think, there should be no
  30. problems with the user interface, it's quite simple!
